"I just landed in Bangkok baby! Ready for 50,000 screaming Thai monsters. I wanna get lost in a lady market and buy fake Rolex."<div class="player-placeholder right" title="Lady Gaga Will Bring a 'Personal' Touch To 'Born This Way' Tour" id="vid:717952" width="415" height="255"></div>The tweet sparked instantaneous uproar on various social media and web forums, as many local residents felt the comment was insulting, abrasive and generally damaging to the reputation of Thailand. An official at the ministry's Intellectual Property Department recently told Reuters that: "Lady Gaga is a representative of the U.S. and the U.S. puts pressure on smaller countries to promote the protection of intellectual property," adding that "she should tell her fans that they shouldn't use fake goods."The controversial message has also been addressed by members of Thailand's music industry. Thai DJ Suharit Siamwalla responded by tweeting: "We are more civilized than you think," then added that he now plans to boycott Gaga's show on Friday.It seems that Mother Monster just can't seem to stay out of trouble as her Born This Way Ball makes its way across Asia. Police Want To Speak to Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez In Battery Investigation

Police investigating the <a href="/news/articles/1685942/justin-bieber-paparazzo-criminal-battery.jhtml">criminal battery</a>  complaint against <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> have spoken to the alleged victim in the case and are now looking to talk to other witnesses to Sunday's altercation, including Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez.A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed to MTV News that police had interviewed the unnamed victim, a paparazzi photographer who claims that Bieber struck him after he tried to take pictures of the "Boyfriend" singer and Gomez at the Commons at Calabasas Shopping Center on Sunday afternoon.<div class="player-placeholder right" title="Frame By Frame: Justin Bieber's 'Boyfriend'" id="vid:766128" width="415" height="255"></div>In addition to the celebrity couple, investigators are looking for any other witnesses to the incident to help piece together a narrative of what went down during the scuffle. There has been no detailed information to date on what injuries were allegedly suffered by the photographer, who complained of pain and was transported by the Los Angeles County Fire Department to a local hospital, where he was treated and released.According to <a href="http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2012/05/justin-bieber-assault.html" target="_blank">The Los Angeles Times</a>, legal experts examining the potential case against Bieber, 18, say that the key issue is whether the pop star acted in self-defense. "These guys will often make it impossible for the celebrity to pass," said former deputy district attorney Dmitry Gorin of the obstacles paparazzi photographers often set for stars that sometimes end in physical contact. "Bieber could face a charge if he pushed or hit the photographer and it was not in self-defense," Gorin said. "But it is not really a jail-time offense."He said the case would likely be a misdemeanor battery unwitnessed by police and the alleged victim could make a citizens arrest, at which point prosecutors would decide whether to file charges. The maximum sanction if convicted is six months in jail, but due to chronic overcrowding, his first-time offender status and the lack of police witnesses, it's highly unlikely Bieber would serve anywhere close to that term.As of press time, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office had not officially taken up the case. A spokesperson for Bieber, who is out of the country promoting his upcoming Believe album, had no comment on the matter.On Tuesday, a spokesperson for the D.A.'s office said that no case has been presented to that office yet, but that it's possible once interviews are conducted that it will be referred for possible prosecution. Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Lieutenant Margarito Robles told MTV News on Tuesday that the investigation is ongoing and that there was no update on its progress at press time. PETA's youth division, peta2, is giving props to celebs like <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a>, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/kesha_/artist.jhtml">Ke$ha</a> and "Glee" star Lea Michele at this year's <a href="http://features.peta2.com/libby-awards-2011/?utm_campaign=1211%20Libbys%20Nominees%20Press%20Pitches&utm_source=peta2%20Pitch&utm_medium=Media#PeopleAndMusic" target="_blank">Libby Awards</a> for their efforts in support of animal rights.The Biebs, who appeared in a <a href="/news/articles/1656302/justin-bieber-peta-ad.jhtml">campaign</a> for the organization at the top of the year using Bieber-fied catch-phrases like "My world includes passion for animals, yours should too" and "Animals can make u smile. Adopt from your local shelter," is taking on fellow animal-loving pop star Ke$ha and rappers k-os and Waka Flocka Flame in the Most Animal-Friendly Pop/Hip-Hop Artist category. Theirs is a relationship that has spanned time and Twitter, <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/keshasuxx/status/77286418598211584" target="_blank">seafood</a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/keshasuxx/status/157523381602889728" target="_blank">shaving</a>, but over the years, the unlikely bond between the <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/black_keys/artist.jhtml">Black Keys</a> and <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/id_3213641/artist.jhtml">Ke$ha</a> has grown to become something more: a genuine friendship, marked with the occasional trespassing charge.<div class="player-placeholder right" title="Would The Black Keys Ever Collaborate With Ke$ha?" id="vid:731631.id:1678505" width="240" height="211"></div>"We're friends with her, we've known her since way before she was famous, before she was even a singer, I guess," Keys drummer Patrick Carney told MTV News. "When she was 16 years old, she used to sneak into our shows. We kind of became friends with her by kicking her out of our backstage room, over and over again. She actually has snuck into shows in L.A., San Diego, Coachella ...""She snuck in and [got] kicked out of one show, like, five times," frontman Dan Auerbach added. "[She] snuck in through the kitchen. I don't know if she's such a big fan; she just likes breaking the rules."So, when MTV News sat down with the 'Keys in Berlin during the premiere of their <a href="/news/articles/1678662/black-keys-gold-on-the-ceiling-music-video.jhtml">"Gold on the Ceiling"</a> video, we had to ask if their friendship with Ke$ha would take the next step: an actual musical collaboration. It's not all that far-fetched, considering both Ke$h and Auerbach live in Nashville ("I see her every once in a while flying by in her T-Top [convertible]," Auerbach laughed), and recently, the glittery one has logged studio time with <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/keshasuxx/status/160846424609787906" target="_blank">the Flaming Lips</a>. So, could we see a team-up on the next Black Keys album?"I guess, I don't know," Carney said. "We don't really do that many collaborations, really."OK, so if a Ke$ha collabo isn't in the cards, just who would the 'Keys like to work with next? Well, as it turns out, they've got their eyes set on landing a very big star for the next record ... even if they mistakenly believe he's deceased."We both want to work with Jim Nabors very badly, but apparently he's not with us anymore," Carney said. Oh, <a href="http://www.jimnabors.com/" target="_blank">but he is.</a> Which means that, much like Nabors, the dream is alive. The Ke$ha collabo? It's hard to associate <a href="/music/artist/_kesha_/artist.jhtml">Ke$ha</a> with songs about anything other than hot guys, body glitter and partying. But she's defying her usual topics of interest for human rights organization Amnesty International. The singer is one of the many musicians on the org's Chimes of Freedom compilation of Bob Dylan's music, out January 24.<div class="player-placeholder right" title="Ke$ha Calls Bob Dylan Cover Choice 'An Accident'" id="vid:720838" width="240" height="211"></div>When MTV News spoke with K-Dollar Sign last week about her <a href="/news/articles/1676172/kesha-sleazy-remix.jhtml">all-star remix of "Sleazy,"</a> she also opened up about switching gears vocally and emotionally for her version of Dylan's classic "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right.""I mean, I think it's pretty well known that he's one of, if not my most, favorite artists of all time and ... one of the most amazing lyricists as well — the original storyteller," she explained. "So I love Bob Dylan and this was just, like, a dream. When they asked me to do a cover, I was just, like, salivating and going through all my records. It was so fun. It was the best homework assignment you could possibly have."K's version of Dylan's song is a slow-burning, heartbreaking ode to the already heartbreaking classic, where she channels Dylan through lyrics like "Still I wish there was somethin' you would do or say/ To try and make me change my mind and stay/ We never did too much talkin' anyway/ So don't think twice, it's all right."<div class="player-placeholder right" title="What Is The Biggest Perk Of Being A Headliner?" id="vid:642810" width="240" height="211"></div>Ke$ha had originally intended to record another Dylan track, but when she heard that someone else had their sights set on it, she settled on "Don't Think Twice," prompting a catharsis she could never have imagined."This song was kind of an accident. I sat down and this is the first take that I ever sang," she recalled. "I just sat down on my bed for the first time after months of being on tour and I just started crying, and it was kind of like an emotional purging, and you can hear it on the record."In addition to Ke$ha and her contribution, the album will feature 75 other Dylan classics recorded by nearly 80 artists including Adele, Miley Cyrus, "Glee" star Darren Criss, My Chemical Romance, Evan Rachel Wood and Sugarland. The album pays tribute to the 50th anniversary of Amnesty International.

<a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/flaming_lips/artist.jhtml">Flaming Lips</a> mastermind Wayne Coyne took away more than just <a href="http://pitchfork.com/news/46404-flaming-lips-blood-vinyl-10-copies-2500-features-keha-erykah-badu-nick-cave-chris-martin-blood/" target="_blank">a vial of blood</a> when he traveled to Nashville to record with <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/kesha_/artist.jhtml">Ke$ha</a>. (Though, really, you'd think that would be enough.) He also left with his first-ever tattoo ... not to mention a newfound respect for the wild-child pop star."Most of the time, if someone's willing to work with me, they're going to be a freak. And Ke$ha ... I sort of thought that she would be a freak, I'd heard about her and we'd tried to get a hold of her earlier," Coyne told MTV News backstage at the <a href="/news/articles/1685474/dave-matthews-band-hangout-fest.jhtml">Hangout Fest</a> in Gulf Shores, Alabama. "We showed up at her house, and she has a tattoo gun that she gives everyone a tattoo with, so within 20 minutes of being at her house, I had a tattoo on my toe; it's the only tattoo I've ever had."We were set to do this one song that I had prepared, and we went into the studio that night, and stayed there until about 2 in the morning, and did four songs, just making stuff up," he continued. "And the next day [we] worked for another couple hours. She's funny, she's gracious, she's imaginative, she's creative and she's a lot of fun to be around."The result of that collaboration (a song called "2012") shows up on the Lips' special Record Store Day double-LP, The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends, a thoroughly out-there collection of songs and sound-collages that — as the title implies — the band recorded with the likes of Bon Iver, Nick Cave, Neon Indian, Yoko Ono and, uh, Coldplay's Chris Martin ... to name just a few. But will fans get to hear even more of the Flaming Lips/Ke$ha team-up? Well, Coyne certainly hopes so."We really loved making this music together — I think I've probably done six or seven songs with her — and I know a lot of her fans like ['2012'], but I don't know if we'll put more songs out there," he said. "She has other agendas besides doing music with Wayne, you know, but I hope so, because I think it's really great, crazy, unexpected music. And she, to her credit, loves what we do. She wants it to be whatever. She has no limits of what she wants it to be."And don't think the Heady Fwends sessions will be the last time Coyne and Ke$ha share time (or blood) in the studio. If anything, the Lips' recent output of, uh, non-traditional releases — songs encased in gummy skulls and fetuses, 24-hour noise-jam freakouts that <a href="http://flaminglipstwentyfourhoursong.com/" target="_blank">play for all eternity</a>, limited-edition vinyl filled with actual blood, etc — suggests Coyne and Co. are just getting started ... and they're going to get even weirder before they're finished."That's been the beautiful thing about all of these weird collaborations and projects; you work with freaks. Even working with someone like Chris Martin, he's very open to, like, 'Let's do stuff!' That's the great surprise about it," Coyne said. "I don't think people are surprised when we work with a group like Lightning Bolt or Neon Indian — people think of us as like-minded — but the surprising thing with the Chris Martins or the Ke$has, they're like us too, they just don' play music that sounds like that all the time."

Usher Unveils 'Nostalgic' New Song 'Twisted'

<a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/usher/artist.jhtml">Usher</a> sat down for an exclusive "MTV First" interview about his hotly anticipated upcoming release, Looking 4 Myself, his unconventional album-listening experience with the <a href="/news/articles/1685095/usher-twisted-climax-scream-mtv-premiere.jhtml">off-Broadway show "Fuerza Bruta"</a> and to give fans a first listen to the Myself track "Twisted" featuring Pharrell. He told MTV News' Sway Calloway the song is a "nostalgic record" that reflects the album's ambitious aim to represent the variety of musical experiences that have impacted the R&B superstar." 'Twisted' is more of a nostalgic record, so when you think about the classic R&B record, we managed a way to modernize it, even though that's very relevant," the singer said. "You hear records like Cee Lo, you hear Bruno Mars and also Andre 3000, and that sound is very relevant in this time. So this was kind of our way to tie it all together and give you something different that you probably wouldn't normally get from me."<div class="player-placeholder right" title="Usher Calls 'Twisted' A 'Nostalgic' Record" id="vid:767985.id:1685137" width="415" height="255"></div>Adapting current sounds and making them his own is a theme Usher is bringing in earnest to Looking 4 Myself and also reflects his philosophy of how to stay in the game. The star released his self-titled debut in 1994, when he was just 16, and has gone on to sell over 65 million records worldwide and score nine #1 songs and six more top 10 hits.As for how he's managed to stay on top for so long, Usher revealed that it's important to never be insular when it comes to music. "Life is a workout, man, it's like a treadmill, and you gotta be with it, you gotta just stay with it," he said. "For me, I've had the fortunate ability to always be mindful of other things and other people. I'm not so caught up in what I'm doing that I can't be cognizant of what other people enjoy. ... Now, I think music should be used as a channel to really allow people to have different experiences. So, this album is all about bottling up those different experiences."The connecting tissue that's given Usher the ability to explore world music — from full-on dance tracks like his new single "Scream" and his collaboration with David Guetta, "Without You," to more classic R&B slow jams like "Climax" and the old-school spare drum beat of "Twisted" — while delivering cohesive records has been his voice, which he said brings "the essence of soul and emotion" to each record."All of my career is kind of an unveiling, an unfolding story, and it ain't done. There's so much more that I'm going to do, so much that I've now just been interested in and been introduced to," he continued. With their tastes in look clearly rubbing off on one another, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi t in West Hollywood, California on Wednesday (June 6).

In beige slacks and a flannel shirt, the daytime talk show host headed to her car holding the hand of her "Arrested Development" actress wife - who ditched her usual long blonde locks to show off a new short hairdo quite similar to that of her lady.

In addition to hosting her own talk show, Ellen has taken on responsibilities of producing a new talk program that will be hosted by Bethenny Frankel this summer.

Earlier today, the 54-year-old comedian tweeted, "@Bethenny! I'm gonna be on your show this summer! I can't wait -- I've always wanted to be on a talk show."

I went to the premiere on Tuesday and it was the coolest thing ever. First, the movie is AMAZING and Chris Evans is a superstar. Second, there were so many damn people there it was insane. I have been to movie premieres in New York before and they were nothing like this. I mean, they closed down Hollywood Boulevard. I would've taken photos to show you, but the invite said to leave phones in the car. But here's a photo of me in my cool Captain America 3D glasses:

If there's one positive that <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml">Lady Gaga</a> fans can take from her decision to cancel a <a href="/news/articles/1685564/lady-gaga-islam-threat-indonesia-concert.jhtml">June 3 concert in Indonesia</a>, perhaps it's this: at least she'll have more time to work on her album.Yes, though she's currently in the midst of a two-year world tour, Gaga is already hard at work on the follow-up to 2011's Born This Way and, according to her co-manager, she's going to push the boundaries even further this time around (which is sure to please those <a href="/news/articles/1685874/lady-gaga-indonesian-concert.jhtml">Indonesian Islamic groups</a>)."There's a lot of work to come, [I'm] very excited about it," Vincent Herbert revealed in a <a href="http://thatgrapejuice.net/2012/05/exclusive-lady-gaga-manager-dishes-album/" target="_blank">new interview</a> with website That Grape Juice. "[It's] just [an] insane, great record. She's on tour right now, but it's just going to be a great record. Look out for the unexpected when it comes to her. We're doing it on the road right now, so it's a little hard, but it's going to be great."<div class="player-placeholder right" title="Lady Gaga Has The Title And Concept For Her Next Album" id="vid:717202" width="415" height="255"></div>Herbert wouldn't reveal specifics — tentative release date, title, who she's been working with, etc. — about the new album, but the news that she's recording on the road is actually in keeping with the way she began work on Born This Way, when standout tracks like <a href="/news/articles/1664761/lady-gaga-marry-the-night-fernando-garibay.jhtml">"Marry The Night"</a> took shape with producer Fernando Garibay during her long-running Monster Ball Tour."I just kind of got on the American leg of the tour ... and she goes, 'I want to write another song that can define where I'm at with this album and my life,' " Garibay told MTV News last year. "I go back to the studio bus; I'm just working on parts ... and then, two hours later, she comes offstage and she goes, 'Do you have something to play me?' And I go, 'I do, actually.'"So I played her the instrumental for 'Marry the Night,' and she goes, 'Open up a mic,' " Garibay continued. "She starts laying down the whole song, like, off the cuff ... right off the stage, using the energy of that crowd and going into the studio, it was amazing.
