Box Office: "The Vow" Takes Presidents' Day Weekend Lead

Making for a tight race as the President's Day run gets underway, "The Vow" has once again grabbed ahold of the top spot at the box office to begin the holiday weekend of February 17-20, 2012.

The Rachel McAdams/Channing Tatum starring romantic drama took home an approximate $7.1 million on Friday while pacing towards a pack-leading $29 million total.

Situated closely behind in second place is the Nicolas Cage starring fantasy/thriller "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance," which took in an estimated $7 million on opening day while expected to wind up with a debut weekend total of $25 million.

Rounding out the top five at the box office in estimated weekend totals are the Denzel Washington/Ryan Reynolds spearheaded crime/thriller "Safe House" ($24 million), followed by Reese Witherspoon's new release "This Means War" ($18 million) and Josh Hutcherson, Vanessa Hudgens and Dwayne Johnson's family adventure "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" ($16 million).
